1. Abstract
   • Q: I am uncertain of our abstract status. My abstract status page remains blank even when I see the ICRC web page.
     A: You can see the status of your abstract when you login with your individual ID. Please try again.

      

   • Q: Can the paper title be modified from the previously submitted abstract ?
     A: Please use the same title unless you have any particular scientific reasons for modifying it. Please be careful that your paper abstract should represent the same scientific content as the previously submitted abstract. Your abstracts had been used in deciding if papers should be presented at the Conference or not.

      

   • Q: Can the abstract of my paper differ from the previously submitted abstract?
     A: Yes, the paper abstract can differ from the previously submitted abstract. Please be careful that your paper abstract should represent the same scientific content as the previously submitted abstract.

      

2. Collaboration List
   • Q: We'd like to present the author in our paper, as A. Abe^(1), B. Baba^(2) for ZZZ collaboration. Do the proceedings volumes have an index for the collaboration lists, apart from the paper contexts, such that; ZZZ collaboration : A. Abe^(1), B. Baba^(2), C. Chinen^(3), .. ?
     A: Sorry, they do not. We propose two examples of presentation style of the collaboration in the followings :
     (i) One (e.g., A. Abe) of the collaboration members presents all the members' names and addresses in his/her paper.
     (ii) In the other papers, the authors are presented as :
     

     C. Chinen^(1), D. Doi^(2) for ZZZ collaboration^(3)
     (1) University of C
     (2) Institute of D
     (3) see A. Abe et al., in this proceedings
     

     or
     (ii') In the other papers, the authors are presented as:
     

     C. Chinen^(1), D. Doi^(2) for ZZZ collaboration [1]
     (1) University of C
     (2) Institute of D
     

     and in the Reference section, you include

     [1] A. Abe et al, in this proceedings

3. Presenter/Registration
   • Q: I am registered at the next ICRC 2003 conference. I have submitted three abstracts, and all of them have been accepted. One of the papers will be presented by another person instead of me. Can you please advise me how to proceed ?
     A: Please submit your 3 papers from your ID. You can revise the name of presenter to your colleague if one of your papers should be presented by him or her. In case your colleague also registers to the conference, there is no problem for presenting the paper. Of course, your colleague also cannot present more than 3 papers.

      

4. Format
   • Q: I had down-load the style-file for Latex and sample file. It is only one column and this format can include contents much less than before(ICRC2001).
     A: The length of the manuscript must be strictly within 4 pages. Although 4 pages seems to be small, the total amount of the Conference Proceedings exceed 5,000 pages because we have more than 1,000 pages.

      

   • Q: Can we use the color figures ?
     A: Yes, you can, however, the printed volume will be presented them only in gray scale. Be careful not to use such expressions as 'plotted in red' in your captions.

      

   • Q: I'd like to know what font size is required for proceedings. Usually it is 11pt, but file icrc2003.tex has 12pt, which I think is too large.
     A: We will reduce the contributions by 80% when they are printed. So, font size will be appropriate as the conference proceedings.

      

   • Q: In fact I need to use two-column style to insert the figures.
     A: If you would like to use the figures in two-column, please refer to example below.

   • Q: I want to use the other Latex-package 'wrapfig'. Am I allowed to include it at the style?
     A: To use the LaTeX-package 'wrapfig' is strongly discouraged by the reasons listed below.
     (i) All papers of the contributors will be compiled as a total. Separate compilation of your paper is impossible.
     (ii) Page layout of your contribution would be disturbed because 'wrapfig' does not support the figure-float. It is difficult to reproduce the page layout of your contribution completely in accordance with your intention again.
     (iv) We are not sure how 'wrapfig' gives influence upon other package software.

      

   • Q: The first 4 references in the reference list of my paper present themselves properly after the compilation, but the remaining references, starting with number 5, are all indented.
     A: We suspect that indented references miss the command '\re' at the top of the each item of the reference. Please refer to the original template file.

      

5. Purchase of the volumes
   • Q: I would like to obtain a CD copy of the Conference Proceedings as soon as it becomes available. Please let me know if there is a way for ordering it.

     A: One copy of Conference Proceedings CD is given to each registered delegate/student at the conference site. The order of additional copies of the Conference Proceedings CD is not possible.
